The need to sell a pet can arise for a number of reasons, itmay be the case that selling pets occurs because people can no longer lookafter them or that people like dog breeders make a living out of the process. There are a number of ways to go about pet selling, for instance, you can sellpets online or sell a pet through a print advert. Read on to find out more.

    How To Sell a Pet

    • You may know somebody who is looking for a new pet and this can be a good way to sell a pet as you will have some idea of what they are like and whether or not the animal is going to a good home. If you are emotionally attached, pet selling can be an unpleasant process so knowing that you are selling pets to somebody who will correctly look after them will make this easier.

    • You can put adverts in a number of local publications such as Friday-Ad advertising that you are selling pets. This is a good way of making sure that you reach a lot of people and increases your chance of selling pets.

    • You can advertise to sell a pet for free on Clickpets. If you choose to sell pets online, you have the advantage of being able to provide plenty of pictures in your advert and much more information than you would if you were to advertise to sell a pet in a more conventional advert.

    • When you are selling pets and placing adverts, make sure that you include as much information as possible such as any health issues, details of the age/temperament of the pet etc and anything else you feel may be important when pet selling. Put as many pictures as you can when you sell pets online and make sure to put plenty of contact information in any advert selling pets.

    • When you sell a pet, it is important to decide on a fair price. This can alter dramatically depending on the animal. For instance, a pedigree dog such as a Golden Retriever or a Labrador can fetch several hundreds of pounds and a rare parrot such as a Scarlet Macaw can cost thousands of pounds.

    • Make sure that you are honest when selling pets, nobody wants to pay for something that isn’t as described, whether it is an animal or a car. If you are honest and friendly when pet selling you will get a better price and if you are somebody who regularly needs to sell a pet, like a dog breeder, you will get a good reputation.
