Writing pet classifieds is easierthan you might imagine. If you are trying to create a pet ad to sell your petthen this article will give you some advice on what to include.

    Writing Pet Classifieds for Print

If you are writing pet adsto go in a printed classified paper such as the Friday Ad then you should keepyour advert brief and to the point. Explain what type of animal and breed yourpet is and a line about his temperament. Include a photograph as this really isworth every penny. People are much more likely to come and view your pet forsale if they know what it looks like.

Contact details areimportant to include in pet ads. Give two phone numbers if you can and an emailaddress so it is easy for people to contact you.

    Writing Pet Ads for Websites

There are lots of websiteswhere you can get pet classifieds for free. Sometimes you will have to payextra to include a photograph but I would recommend doing this. You should putyourself in the shoes of the potential buyer, would you travel to see a pet youweren’t sure you liked the look of?

It is best to give as muchinformation as possible. Post a few pictures and talk about your pet’stemperament. If you are selling an adult animal people might be curious as towhy, so tell them the truth.

Price your pet realisticallyand be prepared to bargain. Contact details are just as important for an onlinepet ad as they are in a print version so make sure details are correct.
