Puppy training pads are a great way of house training a dog. The puppy training pad is extremely absorbent which means your floor stays clean. See the following advice on puppy pads training for more information about how to use puppy training pads.

    • Find a place in your house that has a floor that is non-carpeted and easy to clean. Set the puppy training pad down in this space. Puppy house training pads tend to have a scent on them that attracts the puppy.

    • Once the dog arrives at the puppy training pads area and uses them correctly, praise him straight away. Immediately after use, pick the puppy house training pads up.

    • Each time, move the puppy training pad a little closer to the door to the outside area you wish him to use in the future.

    • When the pad has reached the door, you can then move it outside so that it sits right by the door.

    • The dog will soon become comfortable with using the puppy training pads outside. After a few times of successful outdoors use, remove the pads. It is important not to use the puppy training pad for too long as the dog will soon grow tired of it and the plan could backfire.
