For some people, putting up a pet for sale is a necessity;they may find that they can no longer look after their dog for sale or that afamily member has an allergy. For some people however, advertising their petfor sale is part of their business, breeders for instance will routinelyadvertise pet dogs for sale or pet birds for sale. Read on to find out how tosuccessfully advertise a pet for sale.

    Advertising a Pet forSale

    • The first thing to do when you advertise any pet for sale is to make sure you get as much information in the advert as possible without waffling. When advertising pet dogs for sale, make sure you include whether they are KC registered and include details of the parents as this will put the price up.

    • When advertising pet dogs for sale, be sure to include whether the dog for sale is house trained, socialised and give a general idea of its temperament.

    • If a pet for sale has had all its injections, make sure to include this as well. Exotic pets for sale can command a considerable price tag so make sure that you include as much information about health history, age, sex etc. as possible as this will make buyers more interested.

    • Exotic pets for sale often need lots of other accessories such as heat lamps and tanks in the case of reptiles so make sure to say whether these are included in the sale or not. The same rule applies to pet birds for sale.

    • Make sure that you include plenty of pictures of the pet for sale. People spending a lot of money on expensive pet birds for sale such as macaws will want to see as much as they can before they think about taking the sale further. Exactly the same rule applies if you have exotic pets for sale. If there are any health issues with exotic pets for sale or pet birds for sale, make sure you make them known.

    • It may sound simple but make sure you include plenty of contact details in your advert for a pet for sale. Include name, telephone number(s), location (just the town is fine) and available contact times.

    • You can advertise any pet for sale free of charge on Clickpets.co.uk. Other websites such as DogsandPuppies.co.uk are excellent for advertising pet dogs for sale and BirdTrader.co.uk is dedicated to listing pet birds for sale.
