Training dogs can be doneusing a number of methods. Clicker training is a popular choice for many as itis not forceful and has proven to be very effective. If you are looking for Bull Terrier training tips using a clicker, see the following.

    • A dog clicker is a small device that emits a clicking sound when pressed. It is used for training dogs with the help of dog treats.

    • Get some small dog treats ready before starting your Bull Terrier training session. Sound your clicker and with your other hand immediately give the dog a treat. Repeat this step for about 5 minutes. The intention is to make the dog associate the clicking sound with getting a yummy treat.

    • When you think that the dog has made this association and understands the concept of clicker training, it is time for a test. Try using the clicker and hesitating with the treat. If the dog looks at you expecting the treat, you know that bull terrier training is working.

    • The idea behind clicker training is to get the dog to perform a task you want when the click is sounded. For instance, when you command “sit” and click at the same time, the Bull Terrier should sit. Upon a successful instruction like this, give the treat straight away.
