The Cats at Haslemere Cats Protection Shelter Need Your Help!

The Cats Protection Adoption Centre in Haslemere, Surrey is frantically trying to raise funds for a new isolation unit.

Despite many supporters of the charity voting for a £50,000 grant from Support Adoption for Pets to be put towards the unit, Cats Protection were not successful. They now are relying solely on fundraising and donations to build the new unit for the Haslemere adoption branch, which has already rehomed over 200 cats. Decent isolation units are crucial for adoption centres, as they allow unwell cats to be kept seperate from the main cattery - which prevents spread of illness and allows the sick cat to recooperate. Being without this means that Cats Protection Haslemere have to cap the number of cats they can help, and that volunteers at the centre are under a huge strain caring for poorly cats with inadequate facilities.

The video below, which was submitted by Cats Protection, demonstrates the impact a new isolation unit would have for cats and kittens at the adoption centre:

We all know that Cats Protection do a smashing job at helping introduce many cats to a perfect and loving forever home.

To make a donation text CPAC77 £5 to 70070 or visit their Just Giving Page - don't forget to add Gift Aid if you can to ensure they recieve the maximum donation! They are currently 20% towards their target of £50,000 so your donation really will count!

There are also other ways you can help the Haslemere Adoption Centre - consider adopting a cat from them, get involved with volunteering and keep up to date with any events the centre are running.
