    Meet the UK's most mischievous pets

    The animals pictured in below photos are only a small bunch from the aproximatedly 600 photographed by their owners for a contest to find Britain's most mischievous pets.

    The annual competition has been organised by the veterinary charity PetSavers.

    Chairman Pedro Martin Bartolome said: 'The quality of photographs submitted to the competition this year made for an enjoyable but difficult task for all those on the judging panel.'

     

    1. Winner: Matt Odell from Devon took. Dexter, a springer spaniel is having a water fight with Odell's daughter Lucy. 

     
     

    2. Emily Farrell, 15, from Northern Ireland, won the junior category with this photo of her dog Gypsey looking wide-eyed with surprise at a soaking.

     
     

    3. Sean Goldie depicts his Jack Russell Alfie making off with the water-catching base for a garden plant.

     
     

    4. Whppet girl Willow was captured drying off on the beach after a swim in the sea by her owner Alison Tew.

     
     

    5. Donna Whitworth's four-month-old cat Oreo yawns in a basin.

     
     

    6. Suzie the hamster practically lives in her owner Rosie Ray's waste paper basket where she shreds the contents.

     

    7. Alex Evans, took this image of his Labradoodle puppy Brynley - who has built a garden hideout in a bush where he deposits anything he catches, including sticks, plants, water bottles and pots. 

     

    7. Hayley Marlow's showed her lurcher puppy Bourbon bringing her a flower to say sorry for destroying her garden. 

     

    8. Alexandria de Taranto's parrot, Chilli, 'tap dances' in the kitchen sink. 

     
     

    9. Adam Higgins with his Jack Russell Lily cooling off on a hot summer's day with an ice lolly treat from her owner.

     

    10. Kerry Jordan's dog hides underneath a duvet

     

    11. Katie Grisold's pet dog Harvey tried to sneak through a cat flap. Nice try!

     

    12. Sarah Davies' Billy at the Beach, showed her five-year-old cocker spaniel in the waves in the coast of Devon.
