Bichon Frise Breed Information
The Bichon Frise is a fluffy little white dog, with black round eyes and a small nose. The Bichon Frise originated in Tenerife, and are renowned for their calm, friendly nature. Always cheerful, these dogs have an extremely playful nature. However, one major benefit of owning a Bichon Frise is the fact they do not demand attention the whole of the time, and when play comes to a natural end, they will sleep quietly in their favourite area of the house.
Bichon Frise Dogs: Breed Characteristics
It’s a common misconception with the elegant Bichon Frise breed that these dogs require expert grooming. This is not the case, and most dogs will only require a good wash every couple of weeks. The Bichon Frise does not tend to lose any hair either, so combing shouldn’t prove too much of an issue.
These playful dogs like to play the victim – and can sometimes yelp during play-fights, as if indicating their life is in danger. There’s no need to panic, however, as this is often just a sign of the dog playing games and having fun rather than genuine pain.
The Bichon Frise breed enjoy being around lots of people and appreciate the company of other dogs too – they like nothing more than being in a big group vying for the owner’s affection.
